  Daejeon City is stepping up efforts to foster the defense industry by signing additional agreements to support new businesses with defense-related venture companies.
 Daejeon City announced on the 25th that it will sign a new business support agreement with a defense-related venture company in the conference room of the Daejeon Defense Venture Center with the Daejeon Defense Venture Center and support military-related business tasks, technology development, management, and marketing.
 There are 13 companies that signed the agreement, including NetCustomize, Niers Lab, Salus Marine Systems, Aseta, STEC INC, AR Technology, L2K Plus, Wiplo, Innowil, Capero Systems, Tegway, Piretta, and Hancom In Space.
 When the Daejeon Defense Venture Center was established in 2011, it started a support project for 22 agreement companies and gradually expanded the number of agreement companies every year, and this agreement will support 95 agreement companies.
 Last year, the Daejeon Defense Venture Center provided various business support to contracted companies, including 13 projects to support local government development costs, 8 exchanges and cooperation with related organizations, 38 technical advice and information support for defense projects, and 30 management support such as public relations and corporate certification.
 As a result, sales in the defense industry of the agreement companies were 11.1 billion won as of the end of last year, up 7.7 billion won (4.2%) from the previous year.
 Hong Joon-seok, head of the Daejeon Defense Venture Center, said, "The new 13 agreement companies have excellent technologies to lead future defense technologies such as drone simulation content development and aerospace technology," adding, "It will greatly contribute to the localization of weapons systems and the development of the defense industry in the future."
Han Sun-hee, head of the city's strategic business promotion office, said, "Through the active corporate support activities of the Daejeon Defense Venture Center, not only sales of contract companies but also job creation have been achieved," adding, "We will further expand customized support for the growth of defense small and medium-sized venture companies in Daejeon."
